Mrs. Burden's 5th and 6th Grade Class

Hi, and thank you for such a warm welcome to Hamilton. I am really excited about teaching 5th and 6th grade. My family and I have lived on a ranch near Eureka for almost nine years. My husband Eric works for Dalebanks Angus. We have three children; Cade is in 4th grade and Clay is in 2nd grade at Eureka. Caydee is in 1st grade at Hamilton. I grew up near Leon, Kansas and attended all of her school years there. I then received an Associates Degree from Butler County Community College. In December of 2009 I graduated from Emporia State University with a degree in Elementary Education. Half of my year of student teaching was spent in 6th grade at Olpe Elementary. During that time I realized that I really enjoy students of this age. This experience and my several years of substitute teaching have been a great help to prepare me for becoming a teacher. I look forward to making this a year a wonderful time for my students. Thanks!
