| 12/01/2011 | Different people will interpret different things for this question. Modern technology could mean technology invented in the last ten years or the last 100 years. In my opinion, modern technology is technology invented in the last 20 years. Applying this to the question, I do not think younger children should be shadowed from the constantly updating innovations of today. Looking toward the future, children exposed to technology today will not be foreign to it when it is essential for higher education and upcoming professions. Although modernizing younger children is logical, hindering other parts of education for them should not be carried out. |

| 01/24/2012 | I think young children should have technology in their classrooms because when they get older they wouldn't know how to use the technology for education. | Dylan Freund hoymarilyn@hotmail.com |
| 01/24/2012 | Third & Fourth Graders No, technology is helping these kids to learn. Without technology they will learn less because technology is a tool. K/Pre-K Yes, 3-6 year old kids should have a supervisor when using the computer. | Justin Rayburn hoymarilyn@hotmail.com |
| 01/24/2012 | No, because younger children should be taught how to use technology or they will be behind when they get older in using technology. | Anthony Freund hoymarilyn@hotmail.com |
| 01/24/2012 | It depends really what grade and age. I think it shouldn't be banned. I think they should be older than four years old. | Sidney Martin hoymarilyn@hotmail.com |
| 01/24/2012 | No, because if you ban technology from younger children, they may not know how to type. If technology is banned from 1st - 7th grades they could not take AR tests. Pre--K could be banned from using technology. | shelby crane hoymarilyn@hotmail.com |
| 01/24/2012 | No, if you don't introduce it at a younger age, you lose your chance to teach them at their peak learning stage in their life. When they are younger, they haven't learned as much, therefore, they are open to new ideas. It will also prepare them for life. |

| 01/24/2012 | No, children shouldn't be banned from technology because they are going to be the ones using it in the future! | Chloe Rickman hoymarilyn@hotmail.com |
| 01/24/2012 | No, because younger kids will need to use technology when they get older. | Caleb Brothers hoymarilyn@hotmail.com |
| 01/24/2012 | For modern technology to be banned from younger children it depends on how young they are. If they are seven years old, then yes, they should be banned from using it. If they are 10 years and older then they should be allowed to use it. In today's classrooms they are learning new ways to use technology to survive in society. |

| 01/24/2012 | In my opinion, if modern technology includes the last 20-50 years, younger children should be banned only in certain areas of technology from the classroom. I don’t think children ages 14 and below should have cell phones, MP3 players, IPod’s or games at school. In some way though, I think kids of all ages should acknowledge and be provided the use of certain kinds of technology. Whether it’s from watching our government on television to typing papers on school laptops or to using the Internet for research. |
