Hamilton Elementary Bullying Prevention Program
February 04, 2010
Mr. Larry Hill, school counselor, is teaching the K-6 Bullying Prevention Program two times a month in each classroom.
Each session is grade appropriate, and worksheets are utilized to develop discussion with the students.
The goal of the program is to teach students the types of bullying and how the act of bullying can influence behaviors in class, at home, and in the community. Role play is utilized in the lessons as a way of demonstrating the act of bullying. The students are encouraged in certain situations to express their feelings.
