Junior High Math

Nash Burtin, Junior High Math Teacher

I am the high school business and junior high school mathematics teacher for the 2014-2015 school year.  This is my third year of teaching; my previous two years were spent teaching high school math for USD 258 in Humboldt, KS.  I was born and raised in Eureka, KS, so Greenwood County and Hamilton Junior/Senior High School are very local to me.  I graduated from Eureka High School in 2006, and I attended Labette Community College on a wrestling scholarship.  After graduating from Labette CC with an Associate’s Degree in history, I transferred to Emporia State University, where I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics education in 2011.  My main hobby is sports.  I’m an avid Chiefs fan, attending multiple games every season, and I coach wrestling in the winter, which is something I have done since high school.  I also enjoy watching the Royals play baseball, as well as playing slow-pitch softball and golf in the summertime.  I’m happy to be home and I look forward to my teaching experience in Hamilton.
